WHAT WE DO
Program
Our team is well versed in Python and Java programming languages. As a former FLL team, we coded our robot in Python so when transitioning to FTC, it was much easier and we were able to keep up as we learned Java.
Outreach
Our team recognizes that getting the youth involved in STEM related programs in imperative and we try our best to do our part in the environment. We went to Bethany Oktoberfest to get youth interested in FIRST, Ducksworth Dock to pick up obstructive material and Cathedral Park to pick up all sorts of trash.
Friendship
Our team recognizes the spirit of friendly competition and the main thing that we strive to do during meets and competitions is making new friends and building relationships with other teams. We hope your team will consider reaching out to us, we would love to get to know you guys!
Who are we?
Hey there,
We are High Voltage and we are so glad you decided to take a look at our website. High Voltage is an FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge) team through the FIRST organization. Through FTC we work on designing and building a robot that can compete in each season's challenge. Additionally, we work on sharing our passion for robotics with youth from different backgrounds including those underrepresented in this field. Our team consists of 13 high school students based out of the Bethany/Portland area and we all acknowledge the importance of involving youth and women in STEM-related fields. Feel free to contact us with any questions that you may have!
Lots of Luck,
High Voltage FTC #18108
